The heart of Pevensey and the surrounding areas
Our community focused library in Pevensey Bay has good quality book stock, computers for public use, a jigsaw library, litter pickers to loan out, a reading group, writing group, rhyme time & story time sessions and regular visits from a Canine Concern dog. We also organise regular events and learning opportunities throughout the year.
Save The Library Campaign
Two of our Directors, Helen Burton and Daniel Brookbank, spent years campaigning with others to save this library from closure. After the fight was lost and East Sussex County Council voted to close the library, along with six others, Volunteers Network developed a business plan to reopen the site as a community run library. Our plan was approved by the council and Volunteers Network have been running the library for our local community since 2019.
